SURGEMAX has built-in voltage correction for brownout protection that "boosts" low voltages and "bucks" high voltages, extends battery life, and reduces stress on your electronic equipment. Don't be confused by other UPS companies' product lines: APC's Back-UPS models and Tripp Lite's various BC models do NOT provide voltage correction. For APC and Tripp Lite, you have to at least buy the Smart-UPS and in some cases, the Back-UPS Pro or the OmniSmart in order to get the features offered on the SURGEMAX UPS.

SURGEMAX has RJ11/RJ45 surge protection ports to protect against surges coming through telephone/modem or network as well as an RS232 interface port which allows communication with software for UPS monitoring and automatic safe shutdown of your computer system.

SURGEMAX's intelligent overload and short circuit protection feature works in both AC and battery operation modes. SURGEMAX warns you of small overloads and shuts down during short circuit or high overload conditions to protect you and your equipment and to help you avoid nuisance fuse blows.
